Infinite Series: Alternating Series Test for Convergence
This lesson is designed for AP Calculus BC or College Calculus 2. It is part of the unit on Infinite Series, specifically Tests for Convergence.
✓ Guided Notes with examples. The notes Cover the Alternating Series Test, Conditional Convergence, and the Remainder Theorem for Alternating series.
✓ 12 Task cards. For #1 - 4 students will use the Alternating Series test for convergence. Cards #5 – 10 also ask the students to determine whether the series converges absolutely or conditionally. For cards #11 – 12, students are to find the remainder of the Alternating Series. I have also included an ink-saving black and white version of the cards. Ideas on how to use task cards or stations is also included.
✓ A matching worksheet to the cards which can be used as alternative to task cards or for absent student.

✓ Student response sheet with room for students to show work, and unnumbered so you can choose the cards you want.
