Product Description
When teaching limits and continuity, I like to have my students imagine riding a roller coaster and letting the graph of f(x) be the track. The points of discontinuity on f(x) can easily be visualized and categorized when the students think of what would happen when the roller coaster car hits a “hole” in the track (removable discontinuity), tries to “jump” to another piece of track (jump discontinuity), or simply free falls forever (infinite discontinuity).

This activity challenges students to find the value of the function at a given x-value, limits, one-sided limits, points of continuity/discontinuity, and reassignment values that make the function continuous at removable points of discontinuity.
