This lesson is intended for AP Calculus AB, BC and College Calculus 2. This material is covered in the unit Applications to Integration. It should take close to an entire class period for the students to do this, or it can be assigned as homework. Very often this is a skipped section in AP calculus BC and can easily be incorporated after the AP Exam. It is especially important for your students going on to Engineering.
Included in the Lesson:
✓ A worksheet with two problems having student find the Centroid using Calculus
✓ An example of a problem already done, typed, ready to hand out.
✓ A graphic organizer with the formulas for students to paste into their interactive notebook
✓ Full handwritten solutions.
