Description
This is an in-class activity. I use transparencies of these worksheets and have the students work through them with me, giving oral responses. I have also used these with groups where they work on their own, but I have found that you need to go through at least the first one so they get the hang of the process. This is also a good review of the optimization problems using the graphs of the derivatives to find max and min points, critical numbers, etc. The last page can be used as a wrap-up quiz.
