PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Introduce calculus students that it is possible to write a linear model for a function at a point by zooming in or refining a table until the function appears linear. The model they will write is actually the tangent line to the function at the given point.

Students can be writing tangent lines (or linear models) before they know formally how to find a derivative. This is a great lead in to using derivatives.
