There are lots of formulas used in Calculus that students are required to memorize. There are also conditions that must be met in order to use a given theorem. Every Wednesday I give my students what I call a "Quick Quiz Wednesday." Each one has ten questions relating topics taught at any point from the beginning of the school year all the way to the week prior. Many questions are recycled several times if it is something I see my students are struggling to memorize or if it is necessary more often than others. I vary the difficulty level of the content although it is mostly memorization. I am trying to reinforce to my students that everything in Calculus is cyclical and relates to something else later on so they must keep the ideas, concepts, and theorems fresh on their minds at all times. As stated before, I give these once a week. I project the quiz, give students time to answer each question, then they immediately grade it afterwards. It is self-graded so students get immediate feedback on their results. I collect them and count the average of their scores as a grade for the grading cycle. This particular file is only one of my Quick Quizzes I gave this year to show you the basic layout of how I give these. The answers to each slide are at the end. Please download the full Power Point file with all the topics included so you can modify and use them as you need to depending on the pacing and structure of you class.
