In this set you will find 8 questions that your students can use to practice finding volumes of solids by using cross sections. Students should be able to work with cross sections perpendicular to both the x and y axis. They should know how to solve problems using squares, semi-circles, circles, equilateral triangles, and isosceles triangles.
I make several sets of copies of the task cards and leave them at the front of the room. Students get new cards as they solve each problem. I have included a set of QR Codes that give the correct answer to each question. I post these codes in the front of the room and students come up to scan the code as they finish. I have also included an answer key if you do not wish to use the QR Codes.
ABSENT STUDENT? I have also included a copy of the 8 problems in this set of task cards if you have any absent students. Please note, these are the same 8 questions that were included on the task cards.
Answer key included if you do not wish to use the QR Codes.
