This set of rigorous digital activities for Volume of Revolution Disks, Washers, and Shells is designed AP Calculus AB , Calculus BC, or College Calculus 2.
Your students determine the volume of the solid of revolution by using Disk, Washer, and Cylindrical Shells methods. For each of 10 problem students determine the method and set up the integrals online. For some of the problems graphs are included and for others students must graph the functions. Directions for graphing online and pasting onto the slides are given as well as directions for entering the symbolic math. Great interactivity! Fully typed solutions are included for the ten problems. The solutions work out very nicely with fractions of pi and no irrational numbers. The integration level is basic. It is presumed this unit is taught before the chapter on Techniques of Integration.
