Calculus Volume of Revolution
This bundle of activities is designed AP Calculus AB , Calculus BC, or College Calculus 2. It is part of Unit 6, Application of Integration.
Students determine the volume of a solid of revolution by using Disk, Washer, and Cylindrical Shells methods
. For some of the problems, students must graph and sketch, and for the others graphs are included.
The worksheet problems are typed two to a page as at this level of mathematics, many students need lots of room. The solutions work out very nicely with fractions of pi and no irrational numbers. The integration level is basic. It is presumed this unit is covered before the chapter on techniques of integration.
I have also included is a full color graphic organizer which students can cut and paste into their notebooks.
