I begin using these with my first graders after the second grading period. You may be able to use them sooner depending on your calendar routine and grade level. We used them for morning work and assessments. The first time we did one together on the Promethean. The second time the students were put in pairs to complete it. After those experiences, they were able to complete these on their own for morning work.

Sometimes I would have the students complete a shape or color pattern (AB, AAB, AABB, etc.) on the calendar itself.

Now with 4 pages per month, although preview shows only 2 pages for each month, due to size limitations of previews. Purchase ONCE and get the updated packet each school year!
