Before each new month I give my kids calendar cards that they get to decorate. We talk about any holidays there in that month, any birthdays of kiddos in our class, and the typical seasonal characteristics of the month. It's a great way to talk about the coming month and what it brings. Their sweet drawings sure add character to our calendar!
This resource includes calendar cards for the remainder of 2017 (October-December) and all of 2018. The major holidays are already typed in, if I overlooked any that was not done intentionally. However, you are able to add your own text to any of the dates. I always add my student’s birthdays that are during the month.
Each month is designed with a different color circle at the top. The circles coordinate with the colors on my Month Posters
which I use as the toppers for my calendar.
