Having your students actively engaged in their learning is the best way to ensure that all of your students are getting the most out of your instruction. My students were always learning passively during calendar time, so I created these interactive notebooks to change that!

Rather than just having one child participate in the learning while the others aren’t doing exactly what they’re supposed to, I have my students all participate using these calendar notebooks. Each student gets their own notebook and we complete the pages together while working on our calendar wall.

You can also include this in one of your math centers as well if you don't have a dedicated calendar block!

What's included?

In this download you will find:

  • A general notebook cover {in color and black & white}
  • 12 notebook covers to use each month {in black & white}
  • Monthly calendar practice differentiated as the year progresses {July-June}
  • Monthly weather graphs to track the weather daily {July-June}
  • A "Days in School" chart
  • A tally chart
  • A tens frame chart
  • Counting by 10s with Zero the Hero
  • Counting by 5s
  • A birthday graph and lost tooth graph
  • A weather chart to record the monthly weather

Also included are step-by-step directions on how to set up your interactive calendar notebooks and how I run my calendar block.

If you are also interested in using a monthly calendar, you can find those for FREE in my TpT store!
