Included in this pack are:
•Holiday cards. Slip these in your calendar so students know which holidays are happening each month.
•Vacation cards. Print as many as you need to show when school vacations occur.
•No School cards. Print as many as you need and slip behind holiday cards or regular day cards to show when there is no school.
•Birthday cards. Print as many as you need and slip behind regular day cards to show when there is a birthday in the class. Use a vis-à-vis marker to write the student’s name in the gray box.
•Daily Calendar pieces. Use these as your first month of calendar pieces.
Numbers for each month. Post the coordinated number next to each month card in the pocket chart. This is optional.
•Year cards. Display to the right of the month card.
•Month cards with and without pictures. Display in the top middle of the calendar.
•Date cards. Laminate and write the date on the monthly card each day for the students to write on their papers. Display next to the calendar.
•Weather Graph Chart. Display next to the calendar and color in each day for the type of weather. Use this to talk about seasons, temperature, and different weather types.
•Daily News Chart. Use this to write a message for your students each day.
•Days n School Chart. Keep track of how many days have passed and practice place value at the same time.
•Songs for singing during calendar time. Make copies for students and write up on chart paper for them to sing along.
