California 4th graders typically do a Mission Project as part of their California social studies learning. This Mission Project is filled with everything you’ll need to help your students create a top quality report and presentation. It includes editable forms to allow you to customize some of the handouts as well.
One unique aspect of this unit is that students are able to select their own projects from a list of many suggestions ( a small scale model, a DVD of their actual visit there, a brochure…) or they can even create their own idea….with your approval of course! This self selection adds instant motivation.
The Mission Project includes:
Student Report Example
A Mission Reference List (names, dates and places)
Mission Project Directions (and editable copy)
Mission Presentation Directions (and editable copy)
Mission Presentation Outline (and editable copy)
Mission Research Notes Page
Mission Writing Pages
Mission Cover Page
Mission Presentation Outline Page (and editable copy)
California Map Page
Mission Title Page Bibliography Page
Mission Rubric (and editable copy)
