We have taken the California social studies standards for first grade and turned them into "I Can..." posters and statement cards so that your kiddos can boast about what they can do! 36 pages of useful materials provided!
Color coding and icons are supplied for each type of standard. For example, all "citizenship" standards are blue and have a corresponding icon for easy reference. Other categories for first grade include: People Who Live in America, Symbols and Icons, Locations, Economics, and History.
A one-page "key" is provided to give teachers quick reminders of how the California first grade social studies standards are organized.
There is an "I Can..." statement for every standard. Each standard is provided in easy-to-read poster format for portrait printing. Put these on the board while you teach so that students know what is expected, post them next to a bulletin board, stick them in your classroom library or display at applicable centers - the possibilities are endless!
Statement cards also include corresponding icons and are small enough to send home with students, post next to student work, etc. Statement cards are 6-to-a-page with dashed lines for easy cutting.
Posters and statement cards have the exact standard written in small print along the bottom for easy reference.

How to earn TPT Credits:
"Earn TpT Credits for purchases on TpT. You get one TpT Credit for every $ you spend on TpT. Thing is, you only get the Credits after you Provide Feedback -- both a fair rating and a fair comment -- on the items that you purchase. We will round up for you, too! If you provide fair feedback on a $4.75 item, you will earn 5 credits. Every 100 Credits is worth $5 that you can apply towards future TpT purchases, but there is no need to wait until you have 100 to redeem them. 50 credits is worth $2.50, for example."--TPT Credits Page
