Instructional handout to guide students in creating an Oral History "documentary" about a California Native American Tribe. Students are given the choice of making an audio recording or video recording. Students are given a list of topics/questions they must include information about and suggestions on how to make their documentary more interesting.
Handout is designed in a checklist fashion. Two pages, first is a checklist to guide the student through the process. The second is for the student to ensure he/she has covered each requirement.
A grading rubric is included that totals 100 points. An extra credit section is also included, offering extra credit for students who interview a member of their chosen tribe or who go above and beyond in their project.
