Not enough time to teach coding AND your library curriculum? Combine them to make learning fun for your students and maximize your instructional time! Use these Ozobot coding task cards as a beginning of the year orientation or after teaching call numbers to the students to engage them in learning needed skills. (Students will need prior knowledge of Ozobots and practice with drawing and using the codes to move the Ozobots in addition to knowledge of call numers.) Use the six task cards provided in this packet to give students opportunities to apply knowledge of both library media skills and coding knowledge.
Print the call number Ozobot task cards in color or in gray scale. Then, have students read the directions provided on each task card to solve which Ozobot codes they need to fill out the correct path. After they check their work with you, they can use the Ozobot to test their coding skills and get to the correct call numbers on the task cards! A solutions guide is included so that you know which Ozobot codes are needed for each of the six task cards.
This packet is 9 pages in length and includes:
-1 cover page
-1 directions page
-6 call number Ozobot challenges
-1 solutions guide
I hope that you and your students enjoy combining library skills with coding to grow and have fun!
