What educators are saying

Such a great idea!! Thank you for all of the included explanations- this was super helpful when setting this up.
My students loved using this as a guide for the safe center and ideas on how to calm down when their emotions were running high.

Teaching students to self-regulate their behavior and mindfulness has never been more important. With the demands of standardized testing and the rigor of the Common Core to name a few, do you find yourself losing valuable instructional time due to behavior concerns in your students? Are even your best classroom management strategies no longer working because the social/emotional needs of students is so significant it is robbing you of effectively running your classroom? I know. I've been there too. When I began incorporating a stuffed animal that I call a classroom pet, into the curriculum it was a game changer. The "class pet" is in every way treated like a real animal and students value the responsibility, love, care, and companionship that a pet (even it being a stuffed animal) offers them.

This resource contains all you need to easily adapt any classroom pet (stuffed animal or live) into your classroom. With editable parent letters and blank parent letter templates, multiple animal templates, journal cover pages, and more this 133 page resource has all you need to implement a Peaceful Pet Place and get back your instructional time! Students are able to use the Peaceful Pet Place as a way to self-regulate, manage, and maintain their own behavior in the classroom as needed with less classroom disruption, leaving you free to be able to conduct the class as you need to be. Do you need behavior documented? The journals, writing responses, and letter templates included are the perfect way to help you do that.

This engaging, all-inclusive resource includes:
