Product Description
Here is a poster set for your classroom safe spot/calm down center. With this, students will be able to recognize and acknowledge how they feel and choose supports/methods that will help them to calm down.

First, they will acknowledge that they are not happy. Instead, they are sad/crying/mad/angry. {{Cut out the emojis and put velcro on the back. Students can attach how they feel to the white square.}}

Then, they will see that when they are not happy, they have choices to make. Included are 9 methods that can help kids calm down: toolbox {filled with fidget tools, paper to rip up, sensory bottles, hourglass timer, etc.}; breathe on your pizza to cool it down; do a puzzle; color how they feel; rest on a pillow; count to 10; read a book; get a drink of water; talk to an adult/teacher. {{Again, cut these out and put velcro on the back.}}

Lastly, they will recognize they use these choices to make their self happy again. See the poster: "To be happy again, they will do the following 3 things."

Students will use the choice board and pick 3 things that they can do calm down and make their self happy again. They can put those things from the choice board onto the happy poster.

These posters are purposely blue since blue is the most calming color. Also, there are intentionally no pictures of boys/girls/races/ethnicities due to the diversity of your classrooms. {Note: the adult/teacher is a female with brown hair.}
