These calming cards are small enough to place on a metal ring binder that can be placed in your take a break area, calming area, or elsewhere in your classroom. I allow students who have increased anxiety, stress, or frustration to take them from my room to their mainstream classes.
Included are six strategies in four different areas for a total of 24 cards. (The four areas include: doing strategies, breathing strategies, heavy work strategies, and stretching strategies.) Each card contains an explanation of the strategy if needed as well as a graphic to serve as a visual representation. Please make sure you practice the strategies with students before implementing them!
