This chart is intended to help teach students self-control, mindfulness, and calming techniques. Print the chart, and cut out. It would be best to laminate the "I will take 5 deep breaths" Chart, as well as each of the 5 cards. Place velcro on the back of the 5 cards, and in each of the numbered squares. Students should breathe in and out while placing a card in the blank square. This will ensure that students slow their breathing, calm down, and think before acting.
