What Makes Me Mad worksheet: This worksheet should be used with both the student and teacher together. The teacher should ask the student to list situations, people, or issues that make them feel mad. Once the items are listed, explain to the student that the items that are listed could make them explode like a volcano. Ask the student what happens when they explode like a volcano and how it makes them feel.
Happy Volcano worksheet: Use this worksheet to explain that it is better to be a Happy Volcano instead of a Mad volcano. Explain that the strategies listed in the bubbles can be used to become a happy volcano.
Be In Control, Stay in Control, Behavior Monitoring Sheet: Use this worksheet to help a student self monitor their behavior. The left side of the stoplight indicates how the student is feeling, while the right side of the stoplight indicates the action to be taken when the feeling occurs. Both sides work together with each corresponding color.
When I Get Mad, I Can Make Good Choices cards: These cards can be cut apart and displayed in an area to remind a student of calming strategies.
Calming Strategy Book: Deep Breaths book – This book is used to visually help a student take deep breaths by blowing away the balloon shown on the page. Cut out the large rectangle first, which includes the front cover and back of the book. Cut out each square and place the squares inside the book and staple with a multiple page stapler.
Calming Strategy Book: Count to 10 book- This book is used to visually help a student count to 10.
