This lab activity begins with finding the nutrient content of a soup using the recommended dietary allowance of nutrients for one meal. This lab needs a student’s Diet Log (like in my “MacDiet Nutrition Lab) to complete. Students use the log to determine calories consumed per year, what type of food makes up their diet and the yield of food per square meters of land. This leads students to arrive at the total amount of land that is required to support them for one year. Questions are to be answered.
