What educators are saying
Cam Jansen books are enjoyable for both first and second grade students. This pack can be used with books from the Cam Jansen series.
Cam Jansen Flip Book
This is a stackable booklet that can be printed and used with students during or after finishing reading a Cam Jansen book. Included are the following pages:
- Cover - Cam's Snapshots
- Let's Describe Cam Jansen (character traits)
- My Detective's Case File (suspects/clues)
- My Favorite Part
- Book Review
Cam Jansen Camera Craft & Response Booklet
There are two options for constructing this camera craft. The first option has pre-made template pages nearly identical to the response booklet. The second option is a bit more open-ended with three types of response pages: full illustration, full writing, or a combination of writing and illustration pages. These would be great for student practice with visualization, main idea, summarizing, and more!
The camera craft includes templates that you can print onto colored paper so students can design the camera their way.
Digital Reading Response Journal
This resource includes a Google Slides link for a digital response journal. After making a copy, you can pick and choose which pages to assign your students in Google Slides. The following pages are included:
- Digital Reading Journal Cover
- Character Traits
- Problem & Solution
- Case File
- Story Summary
- Story Retell
- Favorite Part
- Book Review
