This product is a ready to print and use set of comprehension questions and answer key. There are 3 to 4 questions per chapter for the book. The questions for this story include literal and easy to find responses in the text to promote skills in young readers like returning to the text to find answers. There are also inferential questions that require students to think and reflect. They encourage student to think about the author’s message. The story and questions promote reflective thinking. Students respond to the questions in complete sentences.
These questions can be used for literacy groups, silent reading, or guided reading groups. I use this story with my third grade students that are reading a little below grade level. It is a great story to get students interested in the Cam Jansen book series.
