In this lesson, students will receive an activity page where they will cut and paste in order to make examples of translucent, transparent, and opaque materials. Small squares of plastic (from a Ziploc bag) work well for the transparent lens, wax paper squares work well for the translucent lens, and construction paper squares for the opaque lens. It is up to the teacher to decide what materials will be best.
