I've often debated the difference between camouflage and mimicry. Because they both are examples of physical adaptations that animals use to hide or protect themselves from predators, they are easily misconstrued.
After some research, this page has proven to be a great resource to use along with the animal adaptations unit. I enjoy exposing my students to visual representations, especially students who struggle with content vocabulary (ELL, SPED, and struggling readers).
This resource can be used to enhance your adaptations lesson by helping students to make reliable connections!
