Resources that are perfect for a camp themed day at school! Also good for an end of the year activity.
Alphabetical order: 2 sets of words to sort in alphabetical order and a recording sheet. (12 words in each set)
Writing: 3 writing prompts with a camping theme
Booklet: Recording sheet for a "hike". i take my students on a short walk outside the school and they record any interesting things they see-- there is a place for writing info and drawing info. Students then make a mini book about a camping trip using one of their ideas from the hike.
Book Recording Sheet: throughout the day I will give several reading moments where we read around the room. I think its fun for students to make a list of the books they want to read at the beginning of the day so they can check off all the books they read by the end of the day.
Making lists: One sheet where students make a list of: food for camping, people to camp with, things to take camping, and things to do while camping.
Making words: 2 sheets where students see how many words they can make out of the words "camping trip" and "sleeping bag"
