Product Description
The final goal or product of this PBL plan is a full-fledge campaign. It is divided into four parts. Though all members of the teams will partake in every part of the campaign, each of the four positions will have a primary focus. The presidential candidate’s main responsibility will be the speech and debate performances. The bookkeeping specialist’s main responsibility will be tracking the candidate’s popularity and publicity by analyzing graphs. The speech consultant will be focused on writing and editing the debate questions and the speech as well as helping the candidate prepare speaking mannerisms. The marketing guru will be focused mostly on the visual aids and budgeting for both the advertising piece and the campaign promo items. When put together, all of these parts make a full campaign and create four different ways for the students to communicate their information. All four parts require a presentation element as well. The choices they make in planning the final product will hopefully connect to learning how to be a citizen that combats negativity in the community. A fun way to integrate art, language arts, math, and social studies!
