Description

This Camping Theme Escape Room-Style activity is a fun and engaging way for your students to apply and practice 2nd Grade measurement length math skills, as well as being a fantastic opportunity to develop logical thinking and team work skills.

Students will solve a series of five camping themed measurement length challenges focusing on reading rulers, finding the different in length and choosing the correct units of measurement - centimeters, inches, feet and meters in order to find their missing belongs around the campsite, stolen by a cheeky woodland animal from their tent!

This escape room can be played as a printed paper version (with the option for a scavenger-hunt style game) or it can also be played as a digital activity using Google Forms. The digital activity is no-prep and ready to go! This activity is perfect for whole class teaching, paired work, group work or as summer school math activities.

For each team, you will need to supply seven 6"x9" envelopes to place the clues into. If you are using the Google Forms digital version, you and your students will need access to your own Google accounts.

Print, cut out and place the student letter, challenge cards, code breaker cards and evidence cards into envelopes and attach the cover image to each envelope. Print the evidence location cards and display around the classroom, placing the corresponding envelope near the locations.

Also included are extra escape room sets for an additional 4 teams, so 5 teams can play the game at the same time, all starting off on different clues. The additional cards are color coded for each team.
