Description

Practice solving addition and subtraction story problems to 20 (with missing addends in all positions) by using this camping themed set. These task cards work well for first grade math stations, small groups, or even homework. Students can easily self-check their own work with the QR Code Cards.

I have included my Problem Solving routine mini anchor chart as a freebie with this download. Help students remember the process by incorporating movement and repetition.

Finally, keep the learning going with Mini Word Problem Booklets. Students can use the camping themed images as inspiration for writing their own word problems. Fill in the blank options are also included to help support early writers. Students can then solve their own problems or take turns with a partner.

This Camping Story Problem Activity includes:

✅ 12 Colorful Word Problem Cards (for centers)

✅ Recording Sheets (color & blackline)

✅ 2 Worksheet pages for homework or quizzes (using the same word problems as reinforcement)

✅ Answer Keys for easy correcting

✅ QR Code Cards for self-checking

✅ Problem Solving Mini Anchor Chart

✅ Mini Word Problem Booklets for open ended problem solving
