For this activity, the students will determine the correct sum that matches the addition problem on each of the cards. The students will clip a clothes pin on the correct sum on each card; therefore they can create addition facts. (The picture cards would be more durable if printed on cardstock and laminated.)
Instead of using a clothes pin, you can also use a dry erase marker to connect an addition problem to its sum (as long as you laminate the cards).
After clipping the correct sum, the students will choose 10 addition facts to record on the provided worksheet. They will further choose one of the facts and write it within a math story.
