Description

This set of 30 digital learning task cards asks the reader to determine whether the statement refers to Canada, the USA, or both countries. This is fun practice in studies of North America!

Why use this resource? Comparing and Contrasting are important skills in all areas of the curriculum. This resource combines reading skills with Social Studies knowledge. BOOM resources give immediate feedback to the learner, helping them learn the information. As this activity is repeated, the information will go from the short term memory to the long term memory from that immediate feedback. Plus, these activities are easy for the teacher and fun for the students!

How it works: Children can use this resource on any device. The children are given a piece of information about either Canada, the USA or both. The students then decide which country (countries) the information goes with. They will either be told they are correct, or try again. There are 30 digital task cards in all, which are shuffled each time the child uses the activity. When the buyer purchases this resource, they will receive a link to the resource on the BOOM learning platform.

To try it out, click the green box labeled “View Preview,” then scroll down to where it says, “Click HERE for a playable preview.”

BOOM Cards are easy for the teacher and fun for the children! These can be played on computers or tablets, give immediate feedback to the children, and detailed data for the teacher.
