These booklets are perfect for teaching the Grade 1 Number Sense and Numeration expectations for identifying, describing, and naming the value of Canadian coins. There are also activity pages to practice skip counting as per the Grade 1 and Grade 2 curricula.
Each coin has a page for the student to fill out the name and value of the coin as well as an outline of the coin to colour. An informational page is also provided - which tells about the coin's value, appearance, and composition. It also tells about the picture and symbolism on each coin and other fun facts - such as "the lucky loonie." This is a possible connection to Canadian Social Studies. Furthermore, each coin also has a page for the student to draw his/her own while looking at a real example as well as an activity page to practice counting by 1s, 5s, 10s, and 25s.
This product is intended to be photocopied double-sided, but the booklet can be created single-sided as well.
Remember to leave feedback in order to earn TPT points, which can be "cashed in" during future purchases!
