This Money Bingo game is designed for third and fourth grade math centers. It features an online bingo caller that will work on most personal computers with internet access. It can also be played on an an interactive whiteboard like Smartboard and Promethean brands. Use the online bingo caller to draw random question cards and to display called answers while students play along with their own printed bingo cards.
This download features 4 player cards that can be printed either in black and white or in color. I prefer to print in black and white, as the students need to make calculations and write on their bingo cards.
The game questions meet criteria for the Ontario Curriculum for Grades 3 and 4. Here are the details:
- represent and describe the relationships between coins and bills up to $10 (e.g., “There are eight quarters in a toonie and ten dimes in a loonie.”
-estimate, count, and represent (using the $ symbol) the value of a collection of coins and bills with a maximum value of $10
-read and represent money amounts to $100 (e.g., five dollars, two quarters, one nickel, and four cents is $5.59)
-add and subtract two-digit numbers, using a variety of mental strategies
-solve problems involving the addition and subtraction of four-digit numbers, using standard algorithms (in this game, students calculate change due in simulated purchases using five and ten dollar bills).
Be sure to visit my website and try the bingo caller.
