Let your students practice money skills with these Toy Car Themed task cards.
This is an alternative for kids who struggle with the Next Dollar method, and transfers into what we experience during our community based instruction outings. My students come with $5's, $20', and $20's when we go out into the community, so this is a great way to practice making purchases using what they usually bring.
This resource has 2 levels. Each level has 3 pages/12 cards for a total of 24 cards. The first set consists of prices on the dollar. The second set has dollars and mixed coins. Each card has a field of 2 with pictures of the bills as choices. Students read the price for the item, then select the bill that would best cover the item. There are also a few items to encourage students to choose the smaller bill to fit the purchase. I like to focus on this to help prevent them from being taken advantage of.
