Here is a fun way to practice patterns with your primary aged students and get a bonus holiday project while doing so! This also is an excellent way to practice their gluing skills.
I have included three projects for you to use.
First, an 8x11 single sided sheet that has a patterned border (for glitter if you dare!) Do one shape, add glitter, do another, add a different color glitter. Then make candy canes by alternating red and white squares.
Second, a candy cane card that is blank on the inside.
Third, an editable candy cane card that you can add your own text too.
I was able to print these on bright green construction paper and they came out beautifully!
