Looking for a fun, engaging way to practice sight words? Then this fun candy corn themed matching game is for you! I originally created this game for some of my students to play during RtI.
First print out and laminate all pages. Cut out the colored candy corn only. Now you are ready to play the game!
I play this game like Go Fish and Bingo combined. Each player gets a mat (black and white candy corn page) and a pile of candy corn cards goes in the middle. Each player takes a turn drawing a “card” from the pile. That player reads the sight word. The player that has that word on their mat gets to cover the word with the colored candy corn. The first player to cover their board or cover X amount of words wins!
This is a great way to practice sight words because no one will realize that they are actually learning! Each player will be actively engaged and reading!
