Your students will love finding all three parts to put together the colorful candy corns. The top of the candy is a spider-web numeral. the middle part of the candy is one die or two dice whose pips have the same value as the numeral. The bottom part of the candy has the number represented in a ten-frame. There is a mat included that provides visual spatial support for putting together the pieces. Students count familiar patterns of pips and pumpkins which with a lot of practice leads to instant recognition of quantities, also called subitizing.
