I love doing graphing activities each month with our kiddos with different snacks or treats. During October or November we use the popular candy corn candy that can be found everywhere during the Fall season. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COLORS/SHAPES WERE MADE TO GO WITH THE HARVEST PACKAGE OF CANDY CORN that includes the original candy corn, the harvest colored candy corn (orange and brown) and a pumpkin piece!!!!!. The kiddos get so excited when they get to use manipulatives (that are tasty) that help them practice graphing, tally marks, addition & subtraction word problems, and much more!
*Picture graph for students “what is your favorite type of candy corn with graphing questions.
*Sorting page for students to put different types of candy corn into groups. They can count and write the number so that it will be easier/quicker to compile the class bar graph and tally chart.
*Student data sheet that includes a bar graph, number/tally mark work, and simple math questions that correspond to their candy!
*Two different pages that have colored clipart that you can use for the class bar graph and tally charts. One page is black and white if you want to color in different colors for your own class.
*Two student pages that have math questions that can be answered as a whole group or solo if your kiddos are at that level. I also included two with colored clip-art that can be added onto the class bar graph/tally chart. That is what I am planning on doing….makes it easier for me.
*Headers for class tally charts and bar graphs.
*All borders, clipart, and fonts are credited on the final page of this pack. What creativity they have!!!!
