"Do different types of candy vary in density?"
This science activity is perfect for practicing the scientific method. It also works well as part of a unit on physical properties of matter. (Extend this activity by leaving the candies in the water to test their solubility!)
Pages are include for students to write a hypothesis, identify the variables, and record their data (chart and graph). A list of materials and a step-by-step procedure is included, but there are also lined pages available if you would like your students to write their own.
An accordion foldable is included for each of the key vocabulary terms associated with this activity. Also included are vocabulary cards with formal definitions of each term.
This is a great activity for Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine's Day!
