Canoeing for Commas:
Comma or no comma? That is the question.
Canoeing for Commas is a camp themed sorting activity to teach and review correct comma usage in a variety of situations.
It includes 6 camping themed posters explaining 6 of the most common comma rules, 24 sentences to sort, heading cards, and extension ideas.
This makes a great literacy station, whole class review, or writing camp activity. It also helps teachers target specific comma skills as it becomes abundantly clear which rules students do and do not understand once they start sorting. Great for immediate feedback and teachable moments!
