Using the text "Can't You Make Them Behave, King George?" and the accompanying text in Journeys "Tea Time" students are expected to identify varying perspectives on the same event (account) using different texts.
On the page count I'm only saying that there are 2. Please read carefully to understand what you are purchasing:
Included in this purchase you will receive 3 handouts, and an answer key. 1. A matrix to include events / details, and perspectives for King George III and a colonist that took part in the Boston Tea Party. 2. Three of the same prompts requiring students to use information on the graphic organizer. 3. The same prompt, however, providing sentence stems / cloze format for students.
Please note that 2 of the handouts have the same prompt, three times on the same page. The second handout is used for scaffolding. It is the same prompt in a cloze format.
LAFS.5.RI.2.6 Analyze multiple accounts of the same event or topic, noting important similarities and differences in the point of view they represent.
This is one of many resources that I have created for my students to excel on FSA Reading & Writing goals. Please check out my store for additional activities.
