By participating in Readers’ Theater, you will make a personal connection to the text. There are no costumes, sets, memorization, or practice. You and your classmates will use your voices to create the drama and action of the text while seated at your desks. Every student gets a copy of the script and the various parts are assigned, beginning with volunteers. We perform the script, add appropriate sound effects, and then either take a quiz or write over the script’s content, followed by discussion. Reader’s Theater engages everyone in the classroom.
