This is a project intended to follow up a reading of the Prologue of the Canterbury Tales by Chaucer.
The first part of this assignment gives students a handful of pilgrims' tales to choose from for a reading assignment. After, they have questions to respond to about their tale, such as pointing out use of satire.
The last part of this assignment tends to be a student favorite. Students will create their own pilgrim, write a short introduction on that pilgrim in the style of Chaucer, then draw their pilgrim on his/her horse. Many students enjoy modeling the pilgrim after the career that they plan to pursue after graduating.
