This Canterbury Tales Prologue writing assignment requires students to design a seating chart for a dinner party of a select group of pilgrims which either encourages harmonious conversation or (perhaps more interesting) conflict. Students must use the details from the Prologue to explain their choices in writing.
This assignment is a great way for students to really understand the characters' personalities and why Chaucer included them. It's a perfect way to review for a test!
The zip file includes directions with a rubric and the blank seating chart. There's also a rubric with blank spaces if you want to write in your own point values.
