How many pints are in a gallon? How many cups are in two quarts? Capacity conversion tasks are a breeze when students use the Capacity Conversion Strips!
Every measurement unit should begin with an exploration lesson using capacity conversion strips! Much like fraction bars, these strips assist students in discovering the relationship between gallons, quarts, pints, and cups!
To use, students will compare how many units it takes to create another unit. Ex: “I know there are 4 quarts in a gallon, because four one- quart strips equal the same size as a one gallon strip.”
This set includes color and black and white strips of gallons, 1/2 gallons, quarts, pints, and cups- everything your students need to visually represent conversion concepts!
