Want a convenient way to encourage deep thinking as per Common Core? The 22 task cards use real life capacity and volume problems, such as "How many goldfish should be in a 30 gallon tank?"
How can I use this product?
The cards can be used as a math center, scoot, game, or whole class activity, as I provide two formats (slide show with question than answer, or printable with two on a page). I have used these as prompts for their math journal. Students can do two-four a day for a whole week.

1 pdf file with 60 pages
*1-4 Cover page, copyright info, common core standards, and instructions
*5-48 One slide per task card, with one slide directly following w/ answer for whole class slide show
*49-59 Two task cards per page for printing, in either color, grey scale, or b&w
*60 Answer key
An average bathtub holds about 45 gallons. An older shower uses about 5 gallons a minute. Modern showers use about 2.5 gallons per minute. How long is your average shower? Figure out if you use more water taking a bath or a shower.
Note: Uses US customary and metric measurement.
Students will need to have a conceptual knowledge of multiplying, dividing, basic decimals and fractions. Calculators can be used as well.
Is this available in a bundle as well?
