If you are working with your students on capitalization rules taught in Shurley English Level 2, this is a fun activity for the students and very low-prep for you.
Print out the capitalization rules sheets with the numbers at the top. Hang these around your room in various places.
Print out one copy of the worksheet for each student and have them work in pairs to find the rules for each sentence.
Directions for students (printed on worksheet):
Start with any sentence. Write the rule numbers the sentence needs on the first line below, separated by commas. Then find those numbers that you wrote at the top of one of the posters. Continue with the sentence on that poster until you reached all eight!
There is no answer sheet because they will all begin at different sentences. However, the way the sentences are organized have it in order, so you can write the numbers down in that order for a quick check in case a group gets stuck.
**Please note that if a sentence begins with a name of a person, I used rule number 3, instead of putting both 1 and 3, for simplicity.
