Captain Grammar and the Semicolon
I have had excellent results using readers’ theater to teach grammar concepts. My students love the Captain Grammar character—so much so that they sometimes fight over who will play the part! The Prezi included in each is meant to give more detailed instruction. Each Prezi ends with guided practice questions. Although the activities included vary, all of them let your students dig in and “get their hands dirty” with the grammar concept being discussed.
Here’s what you get:
Four Readers’ Theater Scripts
Four activities (a foldable, a sentence station exercise, task cards, and a worksheet)
*Due to space issues on TPT the Prezis are available through links, which are provided in the zip file. This allows you to choose if you'd like to download the Prezi to your computer or simply save the link. You will need a Prezi account to download them to your computer (not to simply view them), but educator accounts are free with a school email. I think you'll find that you love Prezi even more than PowerPoint!*
